		<description><![CDATA[ドコモＵＳＡ社長　吉川雅喜は、2008年6月30日を以って当社を退社し、2008年7月1日より前田正明が社長に就任いたします。
 
前田正明は1983年４月に日本電信電話公社（現NTT）技術局に入社。1994年3月には、1992年に分離・独立したNTTドコモに移りました。NTTドコモでは、ネットワーク企画部門、人事育成部門、総務部門、モバイルマルチメディア部門の管理職を歴任しました。その後、2002年7月にNTTドコモUSAのNY本社に移り、上級副社長職を経て現在に至っております。
 
前田正明は2004年11月にドコモUSAとしての北米最初のサービスである“ナミキテルサービス（米国に住む日系人向け公衆無線LANサービス）”を立ち上げました。その翌年にはBlackBerry®端末上で日本語の読み書きや中国語・韓国語が表示可能なアプリケーションである“ナミメールサービス”の提供を開始しました。このサービスは世界を飛び回る日系ビジネスマンに重宝されています。
 
前田正明は東京工業大学において電気・電子工学の学位・修士を取得。また、2002年6月にはMITスローン校でのMBAも取得しました。

<p><span id="lw_1207848980_1" class="yshortcuts"><span id="lw_1207849147_1" class="yshortcuts">New York</span></span>, October 23, 2007 &#8212; NTT DoCoMo USA, Inc., the American subsidiary of <span id="lw_1207848980_2" class="yshortcuts"><span id="lw_1207849147_2" class="yshortcuts">NTT DoCoMo, Inc</span></span>., Japan’s largest <span id="lw_1207848980_3" class="yshortcuts"><span id="lw_1207849147_3" class="yshortcuts">mobile communications company</span></span>, announces an enhancement to its Namimail® software which will allow for Japanese emailing to be available on more BlackBerry® devices.<span id="more-17"></span></p>
<p>Introduced in June 2005, Namimail is a software application which enables BlackBerry® devices to read and write Japanese. With the latest software upgrade, Namimail will be available for upload to all BlackBerry devices currently available in the market. The service is available to subscribers not only in the United States, but also in <span id="lw_1207848980_4" class="yshortcuts"><span id="lw_1207849147_4" class="yshortcuts">Europe</span></span> and Asia.</p>

<p>DoCoMo Mushrooms become Japan&#8217;s Tastiest Characters</p>
<p>DoCoMo Mushrooms (&#8221;Docomodake&#8221;), a family of mascots in the likeness of mushrooms, have become one of Japan’s leading corporate characters since their debut in 2005. And now they are set to become the nation&#8217;s best-tasting mascots, the result of an exhibition themed &#8220;How to Cook Docomodake.&#8221;</p>
<p>The unlikely mascots were introduced in 2005 when DoCoMo launched a service to allow unused monthly time to be carried over or shared among family members. The mushroom family was conceived to emphasize that DoCoMo was the only mobile operator offering the service, because in Japanese dake means both &#8220;only&#8221; and &#8220;mushroom.&#8221;</p>
<p>Today, however, the smiling mascots have literally mushroomed into ubiquitous symbols of happiness. Docomodake now appear everywhere in Japan, used widely as mobile phone accessories, phone-game and picture-book heroes, stuffed toys and much, much more.</p>
<p>Capitalizing on this unexpected success, DoCoMo has developed a campaign to further promote Docomodake in a variety of public events at home and abroad. One such event is a Docomodake art exhibition taking place in <span id="lw_1207851870_4" class="yshortcuts">New York City</span> (201 Mulberry Street, between <span id="lw_1207851870_5" class="yshortcuts">Kenmare</span> and Spring Streets) from October 19 to 28.  Exhibition hours are 11–7 daily, except on the opening day, when the schedule will be as follows: press registration from 3:30 pm; press viewing from 4–6 pm; and general public viewing from 6–8 pm.</p>
<p>A total of 16 up-and-coming Japanese painters, fashion designers, illustrators and other artists have been invited to express their interpretations of mushroom cuisine. Among the participants are Matsui Erina, a gold medalist at the GEISAI 6 art festival hosted by well-known artist Takashi Murakami; Kentaro Kobuke, an established artist in Europe and America; and Kiyoshi Kuroda, a well-known illustrator.</p>
<p>It is hoped that the exhibits these artists cook up will demonstrate how well Docomodake suit the tastes of mushroom lovers everywhere.</p>

<p>New York, August 31, 2007 &#8212; NTT DoCoMo USA, Inc., the American subsidiary of NTT DoCoMo, Inc., Japan’s largest mobile communications company, marks the third anniversary of the start of “namikiteru®” service with a promotion waiving account registration fees for new subscribers.<span id="more-14"></span><br />
Introduced in October 2004, “namikiteru” is DoCoMo USA’s WiFi connection service with Japanese language customer support. Increased WiFi spot coverage (including Japan Airline’s lounge at JFK International Airport and ANA’s lounge at Dulles International Airport), and the introduction of ”Namimail®,” software which enables a BlackBerry® device to read and write Japanese, have boosted subscriber numbers. Over 10,000 users have made the most of these services.<br />
“Namimail” software supports the BlackBerry 8707h device that was released in Japan in September 2006, as well as the BlackBerry 8707g device which DoCoMo USA markets in the USA and which offers roaming capability in Japan.  DoCoMo USA plans for “Namimail” to be compatible with a wide variety of devices to meet the needs of Japanese living overseas.<br />

New York, January 10, 2006 &#8212; NTT DoCoMo USA, Inc., the American subsidiary of NTT DoCoMo, Inc., Japan&#8217;s largest mobile communications company, announced today that it will commercially launch “CJK namimail™”, which enables the reading of email in Chinese, Japanese and Korean characters, via Research In Motion’s BlackBerry devices. The service will be available from January 17, 2006.<span id="more-11"></span><br />
Available to corporate customers using BlackBerry handhelds activated on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, “CJK namimail” provides the capability to display simplified and traditional Chinese, Korean and Japanese characters.<br />
In addition to usage-based charges for DoCoMo USA’s “namikiteru” Public Wireless LAN Internet access service, the fee for CJK namimail will be $8.99/month with an annual contract and a one-time activation fee of $20.</p>

How to use: “CJK namimail” will be downloaded to the PC and installed into the BlackBerry device via USB cable, using the BlackBerry Desktop Manager (at least v4.0). After installation of CJK namimail, there will be a new sub menu item under your message’s Option menu. Simply select “namimail for BlackBerry” to view emails in Chinese, Japanese and Korean. Please note that the original Japanese-only namimail software must be uninstalled before the CJK version can be installed.</p>

New York, September 27, 2005 &#8212; NTT DoCoMo USA, Inc., the American subsidiary of NTT DoCoMo, Inc., Japans largest mobile communications company, announced today that it will commercially launch &#8220;namimail™&#8221;, which enables reading and writing e-mails in Japanese-font, via Research In Motions BlackBerry. <span id="more-10"></span>The service will be launched in October 3, 2005, as an optional service for &#8220;namikiteru&#8221;, public Wireless LAN access service provided by DoCoMo USA.<br />
namimail users will enjoy a sophisticated and smooth Japanese writing ability on BlackBerry, leveraging language conversion functionality as well as the ability to read Japanese, including a dictionary that contains approximately 40,000 Japanese characters. With a combination of both &#8220;namikiteru™&#8221;, &#8220;namimail&#8221; enables significantly enhance their mobile productivity.<br />
&#8220;namimail&#8221; for BlackBerry will be compatible with BlackBerry model-series 7200s, 7500s and 7700s. &#8220;namimail&#8221; compatibility for 7100-series devices will be available in later date.</p>

New York, September 12, 2005 &#8212; NTT DoCoMo USA, Inc., the American subsidiary of NTT DoCoMo, Inc., Japan&#8217;s largest mobile communications company, today announced the launch of a roaming service to enable users of DoCoMo USA&#8217;s proprietary Public Wireless LAN access service called &#8220;namikiteru&#8221; to connect to the Connexion by BoeingSM high-speed internet service in flight.<span id="more-9"></span><br />
DoCoMo USA&#8217;s &#8220;namikiteru&#8221; users will enjoy an in-flight high-speed Internet service, simply by accessing the Connexion by Boeing homepage and entering their &#8220;namikiteru&#8221; username and password. Billing for the service will be added to the user&#8217;s existing monthly &#8220;namikiteru&#8221; bill.<br />
The service fee will be a flat rate that varies according to the length of the flight.<br />
$14.95 on flights of 3 hours or less<br />
$19.95 on flights of 3 to 6 hours<br />
$29.95 on flights of 6 hours or more<br />
The roaming service is available on approximately 150 international flights, including Japan Airlines and ANA flights between New York and Tokyo.<br />

New York, August 2, 2005 &#8212; NTT DoCoMo USA, Inc., the American subsidiary of Japan&#8217;s largest mobile communications company, NTT DoCoMo, Inc., and All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd. (ANA) announced today that the companies will jointly offer DoCoMo USA&#8217;s proprietary Public Wireless LAN access service called &#8220;namikiteru&#8221; in the airline&#8217;s lounge at Dulles International Airport in Washington D.C., beginning on August 3, 2005.<span id="more-8"></span><br />
From August 3 to October 31, access to the network will be available free-of-charge to guests via a one-day access card provided by DoCoMo USA at the lounge as a promotion. After the promotional period, namikiteru subscribers will be able to access the Internet via namikiteru&#8217;s proprietary access software. In addition, non-subscribers will be able to get Internet access for a fee of $6.95/day, payable by credit card.<br />
Launched in November 2004 namikiteru access points are available in over 60 countries including the United States with a various tariff plan. namikiteru subscribers will be able to utilize software for BlackBerry® devices providing the ability to receive and send e-mails in the Japanese language after October 2005 as an optional service.<br />
ANA is currently flying the new state of the art, Boeing 777-300ER for its daily New York to Narita flights. This aircraft is equipped with ANA@ Air, a service provided by Connexion by BoeingSM that offers high-speed Internet access and e-mail capabilities to passengers with laptops in all classes of service. The same aircraft will be introduced onto the Los Angeles to Narita flights in October this year, and the San Francisco to Narita flights in March 2006.<br />
By introducing &#8220;namikiteru&#8221;, the wireless LAN access service, in thelounge at Dulles International Airport in Washington D.C., passengers using ANA&#8217;sinternational service will be able to use their time more efficiently and pleasantly.<br />
