Matsuno Hiromitsu is currently the General Manager of NTT DOCOMO USA WORLD COUNTER HAWAII.
Mr. Matsuno began his career in the Japanese telecommunications industry in April 1986 at NTT (Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation) in the sales Department.
In August 2001, he moved to NTT DOCOMO, the mobile section of NTT which was spun off from its parent company in 1992. During his career with NTT DOCOMO in Japan, he held a couple of manager positions in Nagano Branch Office and Global Service Department. He joined NTT DOCOMO USA WORLD COUNTER HAWAII in October 2007.

Mr. Matsuno holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Economics from Waseda University, Tokyo Japan.
In addition, he earned an MBA at Nihon University Graduate School of Business in August 2004.

Seiji Kawamura is Senior Vice President and General Manager of Washington DC Office at NTT DOCOMO USA, Inc. He is responsible for conducting research on regulatory and policy-related issues in U.S. wireless and IT industries as well as managing government and industry relations in the Washington DC area. Prior to the present assignment, he held key positions in international business and corporate finance at NTT DOCOMO, Inc. and Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation. He was also a visiting scholar at the Brookings Institution from 1997 to 1998. Mr. Kawamura received a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Tokyo in 1985 and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley in 1991.

MASAAKI MAEDA President & CEO

Masaaki Maeda is currently the President & CEO of NTT DOCOMO USA, established in November 1999 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Japan’s NTT DOCOMO.

Mr. Maeda began his career in the Japanese telecommunications industry in April 1983 at NTT (Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation) in the Technical Development Department.
In March 1994, he moved to NTT DOCOMO, the mobile arm of NTT which was spun off from its parent company in 1992. During his career with NTT DOCOMO in Japan, he held a variety of managerial positions in Network Planning, Personnel, General Affairs, and Mobile Multimedia Planning. He joined the New York Office of NTT DOCOMO USA in July 2002.

In 2004, Mr. Maeda launched NTT DOCOMO USA’s first service in North America, called “namikiteru®,” which is a Public Wireless LAN Access service for Japanese-speaking residents of the USA.
It was followed in October 2005 by the introduction of “namimail®”, a software application which allows users to read and write Japanese and displays simplified and traditional Chinese, Hangul (Korean) and Japanese characters on BlackBerry® handheld devices. This has contributed tremendously to the global mobility of bilingual business people.

Mr. Maeda holds both a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and a Master of Electrical Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology.
In addition, he earned an MBA at MIT’s Sloan School of Management in June 2002.

HISAO INAGAWA Senior Vice President

Hisao Inagawa is Senior Vice President at NTT DOCOMO USA, based in New York, USA. Currently, Mr. Inagawa is responsible for overseeing the Finance, Investor Relations, Public Relations, Human Resources and General Affairs activities of the DOCOMO USA organization. Mr. Inagawa joined NTT DOCOMO, Japan’s leading wireless service provider, in 1999. At the Accounts and Finance Department in the Tokyo headquarters, he held positions of increasing responsibility related to DOCOMO’s financial reporting and corporate financing.

Before joining DOCOMO, Mr. Inagawa worked for the Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan and enjoyed an extensive career in international banking. Mr. Inagawa holds a Bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Tokyo, Japan. He is also a U.S. Certified Public Accountant (registered in the State of Illinois) and a Chartered Member of The Security Analysts Association of Japan.

SHIGERU TABA Senior Vice President

Shigeru Taba is Senior Vice President at NTT DOCOMO USA and in charge of independent revenue business, corporate sales and business development.

Mr. Taba joined Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (then public corporation) in April 1984, where he worked on network and plant planning of fixed telephone network, quality assurance of procured system, and so on.

Mr. Taba moved to NTT DOCOMO in October 1999 and worked in Network Planning Department as Senior Manager of core network planning. He was seconded to Hutchison Telecom (Hong Kong) for 4 years from July 2002 as Director of Research and Development. He returned to DOCOMO in July 2006 and worked in Global Business Department as Executive Director where he managed overseas subsidiary companies and studied new overseas investment. In July 2008, he joined NTT DOCOMO USA.

Mr. Taba received a Bachelor of Engineering in March 1982 and a Master of Engineering in March 1984 both from Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan.

HOURS: 

 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM (MON-SAT)

 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM (SUN)

SCHEDULE: 

Must be available to work varied shifts.  20-35 hours per week.

DUTIES:

- Provide customer service to the subscribers from Japan.    

- Promote sales of handsets, service plans and accessories and complete sales transactions.

- Maintain storefront, manage inventory control and handle cash register.  

QUALIFICATIONS: 

- Basic computer skills.

- Must be bilingual (fluency in Japanese and business level English required).

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

- Prior wireless retail experience preferred but not required.

A1. At this time, DOCOMO handsets are only available for purchase in Japan.

A2. DOCOMO handsets purchased in Japan are only operable within the NTT DOCOMO network in Japan. Although DOCOMO offers international roaming in the USA, activation of handsets and service contracts are handled exclusively in Japan.

A1.「ケータイ 帰国前受付サービス」は、日本に本帰国した後の携帯電話の購入・新規契約申込みの事前受付サービスになっております。携帯電話のレンタルをご希望のお客様はNTTドコモのHPをご参照ください。

 

Q2. 帰国予定日のどのぐらい前までであれば申込みが可能ですか?

A2. ご帰国予定日の2週間前を目処にお申込頂けますようお願いいたします。それ以降のお申込みになりますと、お客様のご要望に添えない場合がありますので、予めご了承ください。

 

Q3. 携帯電話の機器代金はいくらぐらいですか?

A3. お客様のご希望機種や時期などにより機器代金は変わりますので、お手数ですがお問い合わせいただけますようお願いします。

 

Q4. 本人と家族分を申し込みたいのですが、一人の名義で契約する事はできますか?

A4. お一人様2台までご契約可能です。

 

Q5. 小学生でも申込みができますか?

NTT DOCOMO USA launched the “Mobile Phone RakuRaku Sign-up Service” in January 2009, which provides a convenient and comfortable solution for Japanese expatriates living in the United States.
NTT DOCOMO USA’s representatives are able to assist with choosing mobile phones and services, while providing support in both English and Japanese languages.

Also available is our Namimail® software, which allows reading and writing capabilities with Japanese fonts on the BlackBerry device, including the BlackBerry® 8707g model which roams in Japan.

For Japanese expatriates returning to Japan, NTT DOCOMO USA offers the “Kikokusha Service” support program where we assist our customers in their new account application. Select the device and billing plan of your choice. You’ll be informed of your new phone number while in the States. Upon your arrival in Japan, your handset is ready for use once activated at the airport!
