NTT DOCOMO USA, headquartered in New York City, is a wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of Japan’s leading mobile communications company, NTT DOCOMO, Inc.
At the US offices, DOCOMO USA is focused on the following activities:
• Research on the USA wireless and IT industries
• Support of DOCOMO’s IR and PR activities in the USA
• Running the “Namikiteru®” and “Namimail®” businesses, which includes a Wi-Fi connection service and software to enable Japanese email to be accessible on mobile devices in the USA
At a facility in California, our subsidiary DOCOMO Communications Laboratories USA, Inc. pursues breakthrough research innovation in mobile communications for future generations of wireless networks.
In addition to in-language support of the Japanese expatriate community in the USA through our “Namikiteru” and “Namimail” services, DOCOMO USA is also the exclusive seller of the BlackBerry® 8707g device, which is the only smartphone that roams in Japan.
