New York, May 22, 2009 – NTT DOCOMO USA announces the opening of the DOCOMO Support Desk in New York beginning early September of 2009. This service counter is part of DOCOMO’s commitment to enhance customer experience across the globe, delivering personalized care and services in North America.
The new Support Desk will be located in the basement level of Kinokuniya Bookstore at 1073 Avenue of the Americas in Manhattan, New York. The operations will provide support for customers visiting from Japan for sightseeing, short-term stays, business assignments and overseas studies.
Support Desk services will include:
l Mobile phone service application support to enable customers to readily access DOCOMO’s mobile phone service upon returning to Japan.
l T-Mobile USA mobile phone service application support for Japanese-speaking customers residing in the US.
l Providing international roaming support, battery-charge station, and other services including assistance on lost or stolen handsets for travelers and short-term stay customers.
Thus far, DOCOMO has been providing free battery-charge stations and a 24-hour Japanese language help desk for traveling customers in the US, Asia and European countries. The establishment of the North America-based Support Desk demonstrates our continuing efforts to expand and improve the DOCOMO customer service experience creating added convenience for customers overseas.
